The Blitz: The Second Great Fire Tour

In the second world war the City of London endured relentless bombing between 7^th Sept 1940 to the 11^th May 1941, with 57 consecutive nights of bombing. It transformed the skyline and tested the resilience of its people. Night after night, fire consumed historic streets, businesses and churches, yet communities persisted through the fear and destruction. The attacks becoming a defining symbol of wartime endurance, sacrifice and determination. This 2 hour tour begins at the Firefighters memorial by St Paul's and ends at the Church of St Dunstan's in the East.
